ABOUT US About_us

DESIGN

Paralel responds to the daily clothing needs of men. The timeless design is created by a Czech fashion designer and architect Zuzana Basterrech. In her designs she expresses a fresh, minimalist, and elegant style, essential for an active modern man.

PRODUCTION

We are committed to responsible fashion. High-quality pieces produced with minimal impact on the environment.

Our apparel is both sourced and made in Europe. Our suppliers come from countries with a long history of garment industry. We value craftsmanship, hence every piece of Paralel apparel is handmade in our home country of Czech Republic.

And we are continuously optimizing our processes and supply chain in order to fulfill our mission of responsible fashion.

MATERIALS

Our fabrics are composed of various natural fibers joined into knits in a way that enhances their natural features (e.g. moisture balance and breathability, wrinkle resistance, silk touch etc.) The composition makes the final material functional and pleasant to touch. We focus on natural knits made with organic and patented fibers like Tencel® and SeaCell

TENCEL®

Tencel® is an organic lyocell fiber, obtained from eucalyptus as a result of a sustainable production process where water consumption is largely inferior to the quantity required for the growth and production of cotton. Its morphology and chemical composition provide an excellent moisture balance. Its circular cross section inhibits the growth of bacteria. Other characteristics are natural wrinkle resistance and non-ironing properties, silky touch and excellent resistance to pilling.

SEACELL®

SeaCell™ is a unique organic lyocell fiber enhanced by seaweed. It is breathable and light. The fabric feels soft and supple against skin. The most impressive aspect of the fiber is that the seaweed nutrients are retained in the fiber (including iron, calcium, magnesium, and Vitamin E). Natural body moisture promotes this transfer of nutrients when the skin meets the fabric, and the structure of the fiber encourages this exchange too. Other impressive properties include fast sweat absorbing which makes it perfect for underwear.

The fiber is produced exclusively from sustainable raw materials – wood and seaweed – using methods that save both energy and resources. The fiber is carbon neutral and completely biodegradable.

ORGANIC COTTON

Cotton is a natural fiber free of chemicals, breathable and super-absorbent. It is hypoallergenic and does not irritate skin. Cotton clothing is soft, and it has a high tensile strength at the same time, which makes it a comfortable and durable fabric to wear.

Organic cotton production process uses less energy – it is 46 percent less harmful to global warming, provides 70 percent less acidification of land and water, reduces the potential for soil erosion by 26 percent, reduces surface and groundwater use by 91 percent and may reduce energy demand by as much as 62 percent in comparison to the regular cotton production.
